Inspired by the Wild Atlantic Way and our beautiful Irish coastline
While on holiday in the Dingle Peninsula, I went for a walk one lovely summer’s evening on Inch beach. I saw this family group silhouetted against the soft evening light. The mother was introducing her excited toddler to the dog. Another dog was intently watching the seagulls and looked like he would take off after them at any minute. This little scenario was nostalgic for me and reminded me of many other times my husband and I walked with our young daughters and “Looked at the doggy.” I took photos and later painted the scene in the studio.
