Glendalough is one of my favourite places. I have spent many happy days there painting and hiking. I painted this one Autumn inspired by my walks through the woods to the upper lake. The colours were magnificent! Every shade of yellow, lime green, orange, rust and red. I loved how these colours contrasted so vividly against the purple backdrop of rain clouds.
