Original Irish landscape painting in Acrylic inspired by the dramatic cloudscape
The Irish title means ‘bad weather’.
Bad weather is coming. Out at sea on a sailing boat you listen to the weather warnings and watch for the signs. The storm clouds gather at sea. It’s a truly awe inspiring sight. An eerie calm descends. The sea suspends its breath and braces itself. There is an ominous hush before the wind rises and the vehemence of the storm is unleashed. The seagulls sense it. They are tossed and thrown by the tumultuous air currents. They squawk and call raucous warnings to each other. They are painted as dark silhouettes against a brooding sky to add to the sense of unease.
