Original Irish landscape painting in Acrylic inspired by the dramatic cloudscape
Part of my Wild Atlantic Light series.
Some years ago, I spent several weeks painting in west Cork. The house I stayed in and where I set up my temporary studio, had beautiful big windows overlooking Roaring Water Bay. I was treated to weeks of glorious weather with beautiful delicate dawns and sunsets. The clarity of the light on the west coast was amazing and constantly changing. I used soft pastel shades of pale pink, lilac, peach, soft blues to capture the delicate translucent nature of it.
