Original Irish landscape painting in Acrylic inspired by the dramatic cloudscape
Night draws in. It’s that peaceful, gentle transition from day to night. Earth takes a deep sigh and settles to slumber under a rich mulberry duvet. The birds call to one another before heading home to roost. A lone heron forages on the rushy shore.
The rich juicy colours in the clouds and pastel shades of dwindling light remind me of raspberry ripple icecream.
What a painting means can change over time.
In covid times, solitude became a time of loneliness for many. As an artist, I often seek solitude as a peaceful time for reflection to feed my creative soul.
What does the painting suggest to you…..?
Loneliness or peacefulness?
